Nougats

The origins in Sicily, certainly date back to the Arab domination of the year 827. In fact, the Arabs introduced the use of honey in the preparation of desserts in Sicily. The nougat is a sweet originally produced during the Christmas period and involves the use of almonds, pistachios and sesame with honey and albumen. Even today, it is produced according to the centuries-old traditional technique.
